Australia’s local debit card network is Eftpos. With over 95% of its cards co-branded with either Visa or Mastercard, they can be processed across either network that supports the card. Eftpos, short for Electronic Funds Transfer at POS, is available at both point of sale locations and online within Australia.

Many Eftpos cards feature co-branding with international card brands such as MasterCard, Visa, and UnionPay.
